Multiple Myeloma Treatment Now Available at UC Cancer Institute

At the University of Cincinnati Cancer Institute, our Multiple Myeloma Treatment Program offers patients the latest in myeloma treatments and technologies combined with the expertise of an internationally recognized team, including hematologists, oncologists, and multidisciplinary myeloma clinicians. They each spend time with patients to get to know them, answer their questions and incorporate their specific needs and goals into a comprehensive treatment plan. Our newly renovated Outpatient Services Center is located in the Hoxworth Center building with all services housed on a single floor, providing a “one stop shop” appointment experience. We offer many complementary amenities to provide extra comfort and convenience during your patients treatment days.We are the only outpatient program in Cincinnati and one of just six in the nation.Our Inpatient Services Unit at UC Health University of Cincinnati Medical Center is brand new, equipped with the latest technology and staffed by a dedicated myeloma team. Only patients undergoing myeloma or bone marrow transplant treatments stay in this unit.

UC Health Hematology/Oncology ensures comfortable, compassionate care close to home. Chemotherapy and infusion therapy is conveniently available at the UC Health Physicians Offices in West Chester, as well as the UC Barrett Cancer Center in Clifton. Each therapy suite is staffed by a certified oncology nurse to ensure patient comfort and safety. Members of our nursing staff have extensive experience in chemotherapy, patient-family education and support management.

Experimental Therapeutics Offers Unique Clinical Care Options

For patients with advanced cancers, our unique Experimental Therapeutics program opens doors to groundbreaking phase 1 and 2 clinical studies. Backed by translational research, innovations in cancer care support the best in discovery-driven medicine. This is the only program of its kind within a 100 mile radius of Cincinnati. In the past, patients who wanted access to such experimental therapy had to travel out of the region and to other states. With UC Health’s Experimental Therapeutic Program, Cincinnati patients have a new hope with investigative cancer treatments close to home.
